Photography: A Farewell To Fall

Children frolicked in leaves of gold,

Heads wreathed in colors bold.

The garden gnomes sang a festive song,

Here are the words for you to sing along:

“Morning frost, Applesauce,

Tweedle-dee, Tweedle-da!

Leaves whisper, Air is crisper,

Tweedle-dee, Tweedle-dum!

Red berries, Garden fairies,

Tweedle-dee, Tweedle-doo!

Golden rays, Shortened days,

Tweedle-dee, Tweedle-da!

Children prance, Lovers dance,

Tweedle-dee, Tweedle-dum!

Fiddle tune, Harvest moon,

Tweedle-dee, Tweedle-dooooo!”

Then a chill fell upon the land,

So Mother took the wee ones by the hand.

She bustled them back to a toasty house,

Spooned hearty food into rounded mouths.

Outside the woodland creatures shivered,

The branches creaked, the leaves quivered.

A cold front swept in overnight,

Bathing everything in icy white.

The trees bowed low to the newest victor,

Cool and reserved, his name was Winter.

Frozen in Thyme.

Girl in the door.

Crystallized leaves.

Mr. Gnome.

As many branches on the ground as on the tree!

My baby willow. Will it rebound from this?

The last rose that was in my flag pic, on An Intentional Thank You post.

Indoor play time.

Berries in ice.
